In recognition of the history of this area, Harrisons View has been named after Henry Harrison (1836-1929) who is perhaps best know for being ‘the father of Australian Rules football’. In his book ‘the Story of an Athlete’ published in 1923, he reminisces about his idyllic childhood in this beautiful area. “We children led glorious out-of-door lives”.
