Education

Laurimar Primary School – Now Open

Parents and children at Laurimar will be pleased to learn that the forthcoming Laurimar Town Centre is home to the brand new state Laurimar Primary School, which opened in February 2009.

Located at the heart of the community, the school gives children and parents the convenience of quality education close to home.

With nearly 350 students already enrolled, the school will eventually cater for over 700 pupils.

The school grounds will include a gymnasium, soccer pitch, resource area, central assembly area and internal toilets. Students will also have use of the two large sports fields in the Town Centre for physical activity and events.

Childcare and Early Learning

Laurimar already boasts the outstanding Laurimar Childcare and Early Learning Centre for infants and toddlers, as well as the Whittlesea Maternal and Child Health Facility. The future Laurimar Town Centre will also provide a Community Activity Centre for various community groups and facilities for young families.
